For an individual, that means recognising the different layers that shape who we are and how we move through the world. At our foundation is the Soul — our identity, our values, our sense of meaning and what matters most to us. The Body is how we experience life, connect with others and bring ourselves into the world. The Mind is where we think, learn, question, imagine and make choices about what comes next. Each has its own place, but none stands alone. Together, they shape how we think, feel, relate, act and grow.
Organisations have layers too. We see the strategy, structure, governance, roles and results. But underneath sit the less visible foundations: beliefs, relationships, trust, history, loyalties and patterns that have formed over time. These foundations shape how an organisation really works. How leaders lead. How decisions are made. How people work together. What gets encouraged, what gets avoided and what becomes possible.
The individual and the organisation are deeply connected. People shape the systems around them, while those systems shape how people think, behave and relate. That is why we look at the whole. At what is visible and what lies beneath it. At the person and the system. At what has shaped the present and what could shape what comes next.
Because potential does not live in one part of the house. It lives in the relationship between all of them.
